Mountain Quest Inn offers family rooms with mountain views. Each room is decorated around a specific theme, like the Scholar Room or Explorer Room, with unique artifacts. Rooms include air-conditioning, bathrobes, and work desks. Some rooms have water beds.
Daily Breakfast Included
A continental breakfast with warm dishes and fresh fruit is served daily. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and cereal, cooked to order by staff like Julia.
Library, Games, and Farm
Guests can use the extensive library with thousands of books, an observatory for stargazing, a game room with billiards, and an outdoor fireplace. The working farm has horses, donkeys, and cats. There is no WiFi or cell service due to the National Quiet Zone, encouraging unplugging.
Near State Parks and Trails
Mountain Quest Inn is 10 km from Seneca State Forest, 35 km from Watoga State Park, and 40 km from The Big Top. The Greenbrier Valley Airport is 81 km away. The nearest town for food is Marlinton, 34 km away. Dean's Den restaurant is 1 km away but only open Thursday to Sunday.
Private Check-In and Games
Services include private check-in/check-out, express check-in/check-out, and bicycle parking. The inn has a shared lounge, meeting/banquet facilities, and a safety deposit box. Key access and smoke alarms are provided. The inn is wheelchair accessible with grab rails and raised toilets.
“Mountain Quest Inn truly feels like a step away from the everyday, nestled in the West Virginia hills on a working farm. I found the quietude here to be exceptionally conducive to unplugging, and the themed rooms and vast library create an immersive, almost museum-like atmosphere. The staff's genuine hospitality, evident in everything from personalized breakfast to farm tours, made the entire experience feel thoughtfully curated.”
