TROPIC ISLAND RESORT, Port Aransas

Tropic Island Resort, located 70 km from Corpus Christi International, provides varied lodging, including hotel rooms, cottages, bungalows, and RV sites. Hotel rooms feature air conditioning, flat-screen TVs with cable, tea and coffee makers, and private bathrooms with free toiletries. Cottages offer kitchens with stovetops, ovens, microwaves, refrigerators, coffee makers, and kitchenware. Bungalows include air conditioning, full kitchens, terraces, queen beds, and lofts with twin beds. The two-bedroom apartment features a wraparound porch, a full kitchen with a dishwasher, a washing machine and dryer, and walk-in showers.

Tropic Island Resort provides opportunities to enjoy island location that abounds with world class fishing, stunning beaches, bird watching and local events. Guests can take part in boating, golfing, shopping, entertainment, restaurants, and more. Mustang Island State Park, featuring a five-mile natural coastline with sandy beaches, biking and walking trails, and fishing from the shore, is located nearby. The resort is near Port Aransas Nature Preserve (2 km), Port Aransas Museum & Farleys Historic Boat Shop (1 km), and Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center (1 km).

Tropic Island Resort features heated saltwater pools, hot tubs, and patio areas with grills. Peyton's Beach Carts offers 4-, 6-, and 8-passenger Yamaha golf carts with JL Audio Bluetooth. Snow cones are available at the shop window near the pool. North and South Campus event centers accommodate gatherings and recreation. Bathhouses are available at both campuses. A dog park is located on the North Campus.

For RV guests, Tropic Island Resort provides a packet with a cable box, remote, wristbands, and pass codes outside the front desk. Fresh towels are available from the Linen Exchange window next to the pool. Guests in rooms are allowed up to two dogs in select rooms. Only designated areas are to be used for dogs. Children must be accompanied by an adult in all areas. Golf carts require a Port Aransas-issued license plate. Lodging units are limited by bed count. One vehicle and one golf cart are allowed per site.

The resort is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or losses for any cause. Management can refuse service to anyone and change rules without notice. Disruptive behavior results in removal without refund. Vehicles must be licensed, insured, and have proper parking tags; unauthorized vehicles will be towed. Children under 16 must be with an adult on golf carts. Check-in is 1 PM for RVs and 3 PM for hotel guests; check-out is 12 PM for RVs and 11 AM for hotel guests. Visitors must register at the office. Pets must be leashed, and owners must clean up after them. The pool closes at 10 PM nightly, and children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent.
