The Carriage House features 14 rooms and cottages, each with unique decor. All rooms have private bathrooms. Rooms in the main house include the Rosa Bland Room with a queen bed and the Captain William Perry Room with Eastlake Victorian furniture. The Carriage House cottages offer the Diamond Bessie Room with a king bed and fireplace, the Ruth Lester Room with two double beds, and the Jay Gould Room with a queen bed and fenced courtyard. Located across the street, the Daniel Alley Room offers a queen bed, kitchenette, and front/back porch, and the Colonel Richard Waterhouse Room provides a queen bed and retro decor. In the Sam Houston House, find the Red River Room with two double beds and the Caddo Room with a queen bed. Two blocks away, The Gallery property includes the Van Gogh Room with a queen bed, the Picasso Room with a queen bed, and the Gustav Room with a queen bed and access to a common living area. Breakfast and dining
A gourmet two-course breakfast is served at 9:00 AM on weekdays in the main house dining room. Weekend seating times are 8:30, 9:30, or 10:00 AM. Breakfast in bed is available for $10.00 per person, including 2 mimosas or sparkling apple cider served in Carriage House wine glasses. On Friday and Saturday evenings, four-course dinners are available with a 7:00 PM seating. The first course includes fruit dishes and pastries. The second course includes Italian Frittata, Caprese eggs, or Eggs Benedict. Dinners include options such as Filet Mignon or Italian Stuffed Pork Chop, with a signature dessert drink like Bourbon Smash. Complimentary coffee is available from 7:00 AM.
Grounds and Amenities
Guests have access to amenities at the main carriage house, including a fire pit and wrap-around porch. Tesla-compatible charging station is available. Special packages include a Girlfriend Getaway with a gourmet meat and cheese tray and champagne, a Honeymoon Package with chocolate-covered strawberries and rose petals, and a Mommy and Daddy-moon package with cherry cheesecake parfaits and sparkling cider. Location and Activities
The Carriage House is 75 km from East Texas Regional Airport. The Historic Jefferson Railway and the Lonely West Traveling Gun Show perform the Cowboy Train at 12:30, 2:30, 4:30, and 8:00 at 400 E. Austin. A five-mile track along the Big Cypress Bayou offers views of wetlands and wildlife. Jefferson's library, built in 1907, functions as one of five Carnegie Libraries in Texas. Route 49 provides a bus during rallies for transportation in Jefferson. The full-scale Battle for Jefferson re-enactments battle site is Cypress River Ranch on FM 2208.
