Country Woods Inn provides lodging for up to 60 people in several houses dating to the early 1900s. Options include historic cabins, the Main Lodge (sleeps 12), vintage Airstreams, a rail car, and guesthouses. The Main House features a harvest table and kitchen. Some rooms include a flat-screen TV with a DVD player and a patio with rocking chairs. The East Wing of the Farm House has one queen bedroom and one bedroom with two log cabin twin beds, plus a small kitchenette and a claw-foot tub/shower bathroom with a rock floor. The West Wing features a stained-glass bedroom with one full bed, a kitchen, and a rock shower bathroom. The Santa Fe Railroad Car sleeps 4 in two sets of twin log cabin bunk beds and includes a full kitchen and a claw-foot tub. Vintage Airstreams have kitchenettes with a fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker.
Dining Options
The Main House has a dining room with a harvest table and kitchen. Some accommodations provide kitchen facilities. Breakfast is included in the Main House rates. Guests can prepare meals and use charcoal grills available at the Saddle House.
Leisure and Entertainment
Country Woods Inn has forty wooded acres on the Paluxy River. Guests can fish, swim, hike, and fossil hunt. The property includes campfire circles, a petting barnyard, and scenic trails. There are three bird sanctuaries along the Paluxy River, ideal for bird watching with opportunities to spot Flycatchers and dragonflies. A Library and Art Studio are located in the llama corral.
